LogLens ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our web analytics service at loglens.ai and app.loglens.ai (the "Service").

By using our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use the Service.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address
• Name (optional)
• Organization name
• Password (stored securely hashed)

Website Analytics Data

When you connect your website to LogLens, we collect server log data including:

• IP addresses of visitors to your website
• URLs and pages accessed
• HTTP request methods and status codes
• User agent strings (browser and device information)
• Referrer URLs
• Request timestamps
• Response times and bytes transferred
• Geographic location data (country, city) derived from IP addresses

Google Search Console Data

If you choose to connect your Google Search Console account, we access:

• Search Analytics data (impressions, clicks, average position by URL)
• URL Inspection data (index status, crawl information, canonical URLs)
• List of verified properties in your Search Console account

Google Analytics Data

If you choose to connect a Google Analytics 4 property, we access it read-only and store only daily aggregates:

• Sessions, engaged sessions, engagement time, key events (conversions) and revenue, by landing page and by day
• Page views and active users, by page and by day
• Session source and medium totals by day, and by landing page for AI assistants and search engines
• The list of GA4 properties your Google account can view, so you can choose one

We do not access or store individual user, client or event-level Google Analytics records, and we do not use Google Analytics data for advertising or share it with other customers. You can disconnect Google Analytics at any time from Settings, which revokes our access; stored aggregates are deleted with your website data under our retention rules.

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• Provide the Service: Display analytics dashboards, generate reports, and provide insights about your website traffic
• Bot Detection: Identify and classify bot traffic, verify legitimate search engine crawlers
• SEO Analytics: Correlate crawl data with Google Search Console data to provide index coverage insights
• Alerting: Send notifications about traffic anomalies or issues you've configured
• Account Management: Authenticate users, manage teams, and process invitations
• Service Improvement: Analyze usage patterns to improve our features and user experience
• Communication: Send important service updates, security alerts, and support messages

Data Storage and Security

Where We Store Data

Your data is stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure in the EU West (London) region. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256).

Security Measures

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data:

• Encrypted database connections and storage
• API keys are stored as cryptographic hashes
• OAuth tokens are encrypted and stored securely in AWS Secrets Manager
• Access controls and audit logging
• Regular security reviews and updates

Data Retention

• Real-time request data: Retained for 90 days, then automatically deleted
• Aggregated analytics: Retained for 1 year
• Google Search Console data: Cached for 7-14 days, refreshed daily
• Account data: Retained until you delete your account

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data only in the following circumstances:

• With your consent: When you explicitly authorize sharing
• Team members: With users you invite to your organization or website
• Service providers: With trusted third parties who assist in operating our Service (e.g., AWS for infrastructure, email delivery services for notifications)
• Legal requirements: When required by law, court order, or governmental authority
• Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

Third-Party Integrations

Google Search Console

When you connect Google Search Console, we request read-only access to your Search Console data. We use the official Google APIs and comply with Google's API Services User Data Policy. You can revoke this access at any time through:

• LogLens Settings > Integrations > Disconnect
• Your Google Account permissions page

Analytics Integrations

We integrate with CDN and hosting providers (Cloudflare, AWS CloudFront, Vercel) to receive log data. These integrations are configured by you and can be disabled at any time by removing the API keys or log drain configurations.

Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information
• Deletion: Delete your account yourself from Account settings (or an organisation you own from Organization Settings); we keep the data for a 14-day grace period so you can cancel, then delete the account, its workspaces and their log data, retaining only invoicing and audit records we are legally required to keep
• Export: Export your analytics data via our API
• Revoke Integrations: Disconnect third-party services at any time
• Opt-out: Unsubscribe from non-essential communications

Cookies and Tracking

We use two kinds of cookies and storage on the LogLens marketing site (loglens.ai) and the LogLens dashboard (app.loglens.ai):

• Necessary: your cookie choice itself (the cookie_consent cookie, kept for 180 days), plus your sign-in token and dashboard preferences, which are kept in your browser's local storage rather than in cookies and are cleared when you sign out. These are always on because the Service does not work without them.
• Analytics cookies (optional): set only after you choose "Accept all" or turn on Analytics in the cookie banner. They are set by Clicky, our analytics provider, on both the marketing site and the dashboard, and help us understand how the site and product are used. Nothing from Clicky loads until you consent.

Changing or withdrawing your choice: use the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of our marketing pages, or the same link in the dashboard, at any time. Withdrawing consent stops further analytics collection on your next page interaction and removes the first-party analytics cookies we control (for example _jsuid). Any cookie set on a third-party domain cannot be removed by our site; clear it in your browser settings.

Children's Privacy

Our Service is not intended for children under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.

International Data Transfers

Our servers are located in the European Union. If you access our Service from outside the EU, your information may be transferred to and processed in the EU. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for any international data transfers.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
