Netlify walkthrough in delegated setup links
Setup links you send to a developer now include a full step-by-step Netlify Log Drain walkthrough and hand over the correct endpoint URL, instead of an ingest key that doesn't work for Netlify.
When you delegate a Netlify site's setup to a developer or client, the setup link now walks them through connecting a Netlify Log Drain properly — the same guided, step-by-step experience the other integrations already have.
Previously the delegated setup page had no Netlify walkthrough, so it fell back to showing a generic ingest API key. Netlify Log Drains don't authenticate with that key — they use a dedicated endpoint URL — so the credential the developer was handed simply couldn't work, and nothing arrived in LogLens.
Now the link:
- Confirms the Netlify Enterprise requirement up front (Log Drains are an
Enterprise-only feature).
- Walks through Site configuration → Log drains → Add log drain, choosing a
General HTTP endpoint, Traffic logs, JSON format.
- Reveals the ready-to-paste endpoint URL — it already carries the site ID
and an access token, so it's the only thing that goes into Netlify.
- Auto-detects the first traffic on the Test connection step, exactly like
every other integration.
If you'd already sent a Netlify setup link, it now works with no changes on your side — just have the developer reopen the same link.
