Developer setup links now last 30 days
Setup links you send to your developers are now valid for 30 days instead of 7, survive our internal maintenance, and tell late clickers exactly what to do when a link has lapsed.
When you invite a developer to wire up log ingestion for one of your sites, LogLens emails them a magic setup link. Those links previously expired after 7 days — fine when your developer sits next to you, less fine when the link travels through an account manager and an external agency before reaching the person who can act on it.
Three changes ship today:
- Links are valid for 30 days instead of 7.
- A lapsed link now explains itself. Instead of a bare "invalid token",
the page tells the developer the link has expired and to ask the site owner for a fresh one — even months later.
- Old links no longer break during our internal security maintenance.
Previously, rotating our signing keys could invalidate outstanding setup links; now they remain valid for their full lifetime.
As before, each link carries its own dedicated ingest key, and expired links have their keys retired automatically.
